“Field Shef combines the incredible Sneeboer designs on the most difficult soil conditions” said Jaap Sneeboer, director of Sneeboer. Field Shef will be the most popular gardening tool for our Sneeboer-users due its amazing display and iconic design.

The FIELD  SHEF is a combination of a spade and fork, perfect for digging, splitting and cutting When digging a trench, all hatched parts in the spade drawing will fall in the trench. Due to the arched shape of the FIELD SHEF you won’t have this problem.

This tool is a hybrid of our fork/spade called spitriek and a former heavy duty spade (inside radius instead of outside as a regular spade. The name FIELD SHEF is a reference/homage, my admiration to Sheffield, the Steel City and its surroundings known for the cutlery and where the best English garden tools used to be produced.

Key features:

  • Easily cutting of the roots, you can’t do this with a fork!
  • Due the construction a single tine can’t bent, due the blade they are connected.
  • Fat clay doesn’t stick to the blade as we have the cut-away (fork-principle).
  • Less resistance due the V-shaped forged tines.
  • No- bending/snapping of the tines/blade as there aren’t any weldings, forged out of one piece.
